Silver Darling remains a spectacular dining spot

Very enjoyable lunch today in the Silver Darling. This remains one of the most interesting places in Aberdeen to eat as you can watch the ships coming and going past, thanks to the full height glass all round the restaurant.
Today’s ship traffic consisted of the Aberdeen RNLI Lifeboat, a large container vessel with attendant tugs and pilot boat, the usual mixture of oil supply vessels and a large cargo vessel. Watch the bustle of Aberdeen Harbour as you dine at Silver Darling
The food was as good as ever. There’s a good choice for those who don’t want to eat fish. I chose a burger, which proved to be a good choice. Beautifully presented, it also tasted superb.
The usual warning applies. If you want your plate piled high with food, Silver Darling is not for you. If, however, you like good food, nicely presented, it’s definitely worth pushing the boat out once in a while (if you will excuse the pun).
